Jeffrey Cohen Honored As Salutatorian from Long Island Business News
Jeffrey Cohen

Dear Jeff,

The 40 Under 40 Award program has become a signature event for Long Island Business News. Each year since 1998 we've introduced 40 of Long Island's best and brightest and recognized their accomplishments, their drive to succeed and their commitment to making Long Island a better place in which to live and do business.

With 40 young executives joining the program each year, we wanted to know what they were doing, where they had gone, had they remained as involved in their comunities as when they were first recognized.

This year, we gave the 40/40s and the business community a chance to recognize the top achievers in their midst - those 40 under 40 alums who exemplify excellence, have risen to the top in their careers, made their businesses successful and continue to dedicate time and service to the Island's community needs. And we're planning a party to celebrate - music, networking, upscale barbeque and reconnecting with people we haven't seen for quite some time.

We received an overwhelming number of votes, along with heartfelt comments about each person nominated. The 40/40s took full advantage of the opportunity to praise fellow awardees and the community voiced its opinion on those with whom they do business.

It is my great pleasure to inform you that you've been votes as Salutatorian of the 40 under 40 Class of 2008.

As such, we would appreciate the pleasure of your company at the Alumni Awards party scheduled for 23 June at Carlyle on the Green. Each class will have a Valedictorian and a Salutatorian, and each will be presented with an award. The latest inductees into the program, the Class of 2009, will be presented with a Young Alumni Award - for expetations soon to be realized.

Each awardee will be interviewed for the special event section we're producing. The interviews will be an update, if you will, of what each of you has been doing since your induction into this program. The section will be available at the event, inserted into the paper and posted to our Web site. Congratulation on being voted of the Class of 2008, the information is posted to our Web site.

I look forward to seeing you at the awards ceremony.
